RESTRICTED COURSES
A1 LIGHT LICENCE
To gain a full A1 light motorcycle licence you must successfully complete CBT and pass a theory test followed by a practical test on a vehicle between 75cc and 125cc. A full A1 licence permits you to ride any motorcycle up to 125cc and a power output of up to 11kw (14.6bhp) without 'L' plates, carry pillion passengers and use motorways.
A STANDARD LICENCE
To gain a full standard category 'A' licence you must successfully complete a CBT and pass a theory tet followed by a practical test on a motorcycle of over 120cc but not larger than 125cc and capable of a least 100kph. A full category 'A' licence permits you to ride any motorcycle with a power output of up to 25kw (33bhp) and a power to weight ratio not exceeding 0.16kw/kg without 'L' plates, carry pillion passengers and use motorways. You are restricted for 2 years, after 2 years you may ride any size motorcycle.
Course available
2 Day course for anyone who has a current CBT and theory and has been riding on the road for at least 1 year.
3 Day course for anyone who has successfully completed a CBT and has at least 6 months experience of riding a manual motorcycle.
5 Day course
For the beginner at least five days training is essential. If, having taken you Part 2 test, you fail, all further tuition is *FREE*
