A1 Light Licence

 

To gain a full A1 light motorcycle licence you must successfully complete a CBT and pass

a theory test followed by a practical test on a vehicle between 75cc and 125cc.  A full A1 licence permits you to ride any motorcycle up to 125cc and a power output of up to 11kw (14.6bhp) without 'L' plates, carry pillion passengers and use motorways.

 

 

A Standard Licence

 

To gain a full standard category 'A' licence you must successfully complete a CBT and pass a theory test followed by a practical test on a motorcycle of over 120cc but not larger than 125cc and capable of at least 100kph.  A full Category 'A' licence permits you to ride any motorcycle with a power output of up to 25kw (33bhp) and a power to weight ratio not exceeding 0.16kw/kg without 'L' plates, carry pillion passengers and use motorways. You are restricted to a motorcycle up to 25kw for 2 years, after 2 years you may ride any size motorcycle.

 

Course Available

 

4 Day Course

4 day course for anyone who has successfully completed a CBT and had at least 1 years experience of riding a manual motorcycle. This will consist of 2 days for Module 1 and 2 days for Module 2.

5 Day Course

5 day course for anyone who has completed CBT and has limited experience of riding a manual motorcycle. This will consist of 3 days for Module 1 and 2 days for Module 2.

6 Day Course

For the beginner at least 6 days training is essential.  If, having taken your Part 2 test, you fail, all further tuition is *FREE*.  This will consist of 4 days for Module 1 and 2 days for Module 2.

 

If you do not reach the required standard for the test all additional days will be charged at £150 per day.
